Located in Sewell, New Jersey, Meridian Recovery is an addiction treatment and evidence-based drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. We provide dual diagnosis treatment services and a comprehensive, continuing array of outpatient services for individuals and families struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions. Our mission is to offer accessible, high-quality addiction services throughout the diverse communities of Southern New Jersey.
Meridian Recovery was established with one purpose: to provide a treatment environment where every client can feel safe, supported, and empowered to achieve lasting recovery. We are licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health to provide substance use disorder treatment at all outpatient levels of care, including Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and Outpatient Programming.
We recognize that behind every one of the thousands of diagnoses of alcohol and substance use disorder is an individual with dignity and a real need for help. Choosing an addiction treatment center is one of the most significant life decisions that a family will ever make. To that end, Meridian Recovery has developed an addiction treatment program that incorporates full transparency, individualized patient-centered care, and clinical excellence at all of the phases of the treatment continuum.
Our Approach
We believe that effective addiction treatment treats the whole person, not just the addiction. Addiction does not develop on its own; for many of the clients we treat, their substance use is intertwined with trauma, mental health disorders, or grief. Our approach is built upon this fact.
That is why we utilize evidence-based clinical modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care. We also include various holistic therapies such as yoga, art therapy, and music therapy. Individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy are provided at every level of our programming because we know that healing happens in one’s community as much as in a clinical office.
Dual diagnosis is a core aspect of our approach. Many of our patients present with co-occurring mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). While we don’t treat mental health as a stand-alone service, we use coordinated psychiatric care and medication management along with supportive therapy to treat both addiction and co-occurring mental illness simultaneously.
Significant emphasis is also placed on aftercare for all of our clients. We have an ongoing aftercare planning process that starts with the initial evaluation. This ensures that the individual who completes their treatment will leave with a clear aftercare plan, support network, and tools to continue their recovery beyond discharge. Recovery does not end when treatment does, and neither does our commitment to the clients we serve.
Our Facility
At Meridian Recovery, our facility has been purposely designed as a place where healing is possible.
The atmosphere created is intended to be welcoming, not clinical. Our easily accessible Sewell, New Jersey location is a place where people can let down their guard and participate fully in the process of recovery. Every aspect of our facility reflects our belief that the environment in which your treatment takes place matters just as much as the treatment itself.
Our Team
Meridian Recovery has a highly trained and committed team made up of licensed clinicians, therapists, psychiatrists, and support staff who sincerely care about the patients that they serve. Many of the staff have personal or professional experience with addiction and recovery.
